Journal Entry: Sat Jul 4, 2009, 3:40 PM

Starting today I will be drawing and posting sketches that take 30 - 90 minutes to draw. I will try to do this as often as possible and I've started out with a Batman piece you can see below;

Since I draw for a living I actually draw almost everyday, but most of the time I feel exhausted to draw something else for practice or just for the heck of it. So I thought this would be a good move to get rid of my procrastination, laziness and help me build my skills while I'm having fun.

My good friend Yildiray Cinar has always been an inspiration to me especially in his enthusiasm to draw at every available chance. He's been drawing and posting some amazing sketches recently which has acted as another reason for me to do this.

Realistically speaking I don't think I will be able to draw something solid every day but hopefully I'll keep this up as long as I can and on a regular basis even if I give breaks once in a while.

I will be posting each of these on my blog www.mahmudasrar.com and post some of the ones I enjoy more here. So if you'd be interested to see them go and check out the blog.

Until now I thought professional artists can draw awesome-incredible stuff (final covers) in a couple of hours. Now I can feel 50% more calmed... when I can draw better than I do now I can R.I.P. and feel 100% calmed :laughing:

Thanks to share this man.

PD. My english is bad.

My Spanish is worse. So no problem! :D

Well, there are artists who are extremely fast and then there are others who are really slow. It's just the process for everyone being different.

Sounds like a great drawing exercise. I might try this also.

Good luck and looking forward to the sketches!

This is a great idea, I'm really trying it myself, since it does work! It's a lot of fun first to do some fresh work on something other than work and it's still practice, your work is great btw, cheers!
