It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Paris Manga 12-13 September - Here I Come!

I will be attending the Paris Manga & Sci-Fi Show 8 (12-13 September) as a guest of the convention. So if you're near the area and planning to attend be sure to drop by and say hi.

The show will feature many great guests like Tim Sale, Mike Ploog, Aleksi Briclot, Stephane Roux, *LudoLullabi and *SpiderGuile among many others. There will be a ton of exhibitors as well so you'll be sure to have a great time. For more info on the show and a list of all the exhibitors and guests check out the French site here: [link]

I will be bringing a bit of stuff with me to sell including sketchbooks and original art. So if you're interested in buying something from my gallery here please send me a note. However, be sure to check www.theartofcomics.com to see if Rich has what you want already.

I will be doing a few commissions before the show to be picked up from my table during the convention. Here is more info along with samples;
